player jump problems have been fixed, enemies are (mostly) syncing between server and clients and i added a big metroidvania feature:


locked doors and keys!

i just placed them in test level 2, but the logic is working and it is also syncing properly, i'll need to get the elite enemies to drop them when they die, and also maybe only one per player. it would also be cool if the players dropped them when they died, maybe have the keys floating behind them when they pick them up. that way the players could steal keys from each other to get into the boss room.


moving forward:

i'm trying to think of interesting attack patterns for the lizard man. right now i'm thinking of making him invisible until he attacks and maybe he teleports around the room?


i also noticed a pretty big problem, the multiplayer sync stuff is really dependent on when players connect. so if players connect too late, nothing syncs properly. i only noticed this happening when i was doing 4 players and the host, with two snd the host everything works fine.


i think i need some kind of loading screen between when everybody is ready and when they spawn into the level.
